In their quest to put on a new face, Peugeot revealed a new concept car previewing the face of their new flagship sedan, the 508. To be revealed at Geneva Motor Show, this concept is named “5 BY PEUGEOT” and while it’s not as dramatic as the SR1, the other concept by the French brand which features the new design language, it has a sense of very refined luxury which makes it so special.

Sporting the new badge, 5 BY PEUGEOT is another indication of the changing face of Peugeot in general and many of its styling cues will be used in the upcoming models., not just for the sedan segment. It also brings along a new grille design which will be used in all of the future models.

This being a production of year 2010, means that it comes with a hybrid drivetrain! It’s actually a diesel-hybrid system in which a 2.0 litre HDi FAP163 bhp diesel engine at front is hooked up with a 37 hp electric motor at the rear. So this sophisticated Hybrid4 system delivers a total 200 hp while averaging an incredible 74.3 mpg and 99 g/km of CO2 or zero in electric mode.
