Yesterday the first picture of the all-new Peugeot 508 leaked on the web and maybe that caused the French company to release official pictures of the car. Making its debut at 2010 Paris Motor Show, the 508 has a futuristic exterior design inspired by Peugeot’s concept car which looks fancy and cool, or as Peugeot says French Chic!
Unfortunately we can’t say the same about the interior. It has a neat design and will be very well equipped and comfortable because after all, it’s French. But it looks a bit boring. It’s like an old Citroen’s cabin. The Peugeot 508 will be available in two body styles: a Saloon (with a length of 4.79 m) and a SW (4.81 m).
Peugeot has not released details on the car’s available powertrains. They just say that it will come with a range of diesel and petrol engines, equipped with the latest technologies for fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. They also confirm that the 2011 508 will get a 200-hp version of Peugeot’s HYbrid4 system with all-wheel drive and emissions of 99g/km of CO2 or zero in electric mode.
All in all, it seems to be a good replacement for the 407 which was a remarkable car.
