Last time we heard about the Koenigsegg One:1 was way back in 2012. The car was in early stages of development back then, but now a couple of new renderings have been released that show it in full production trim. The One:1 is the ultimate version of the Koenigsegg Agera, and it’s being built exclusively for China.

Where else can you sell a $2 million super car that is limited to 5 units, each of which bespoke to the buyer. The One:1 will be a technological masterpiece though, as all Koenigseggs are. The name One:1 refers to the fact that it will have an astonishing power to weight ratio of 1 to 1, meaning that for every kilogram of weight there is one horsepower.

To achieve that goal the Swedish super car maker had to not only reduce as much weight as they possibly could, but also increase the output of their twin-turbo V8 engine, reportedly to 1,400 horsepower.

That is part of the reason why the One:1 boasts such strange aerodynamic properties. You would easily mistake this car for a LMP2 Le Mans racer. But those wings and canards and splitters are needed to keep it on the ground. Koenigsegg never does a half-assed job, so we could potentially have a new record-breaker here.

We have to wait a bit longer to find out more about the Koenigsegg One:1 Edition, as it is set for debut towards the end of the year.
