Recently it has been in the news that Ford might be working on an even hotter version of the Fiesta ST, to be called – you guessed it – Ford Fiesta RS. The company’s top brass has not yet committed to this car, dumping it on their accountants to make a “business case” for it.

So for now the chance of seeing a new Ford Fiesta RS in the foreseeable future is 50/50. But that hasn’t stopped independent designers to try and imagine what this car may look like when it eventually gets the green light and gets produced.

Here’s a brilliant effort by X-Tomi Design to preview the Ford Fiesta RS. Using a Fiesta ST as the base, and drawing inspirations – and in some places borrowing features – from the latest Focus RS, Tomi has come up with an aggressive and seriously good-looking little hot hatch.

As for the technicalities, a Fiesta RS will invariably be more powerful than the existing180-hp ST model. Some sources suggest up to 250 horsepower for the RS, which to be frank is unrealistic. As we know from the ST, it is not raw power that makes Ford’s hot hatches such wonderful cars. It’s the combination of sweet handling, light weight, practicality, and a touch of that X-factor that only Ford possess.
