While the Europeans have to be contented with a hatchback Honda Civic, the Americans get an all-new Civic Coupe which is a lot more awesome, especially if they end up making a hotted-up version of it. These rendering show how superb a Honda Civic Coupe Type R could be.
Of course, Honda has already confirmed they will launch the Civic Type R in the U.S. But it is not clear yet if they meant the hatchback Type R, or a Type R version of the Civic Coupe. If the latter is the case, it could look kind of close to the car you see in these pictures.
In order to create this imaginary Honda Civic Coupe Type R, designer WildSpeed applied the styling features of the hatchback model to the Coupe version and then made the whole thing a bit spicier by adding his own touches such as an excessive amount of red accenting and no less than four tailpipes!
If produced, Honda Civic Coupe Type R could get the same 300+ horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot as the European version. If Honda launches this car it will be a kick in the pants for Kia to either come up with a hot version of the Forte Koup or put that Stinger thing into production.
