Mazda UK announced the launch of a new special edition Mazda3 featuring improved styling and enhanced specification. The 2016 Mazda3 Sport Black hits the dealerships Britain-wide in April, limited to 800 copies and priced at £20,995.
The main highlights of Mazda3 Sport Black Special Edition on the outside include 18-inch Dark Gunmetal alloy wheels, Brilliant Black Sports Styling Kit consisting of front splitter, side skirts, rear bumper treatment and roof spoiler, and a choice of two special paint finishes including Soul Red Metallic and Snowflake White Pearlescent, both free of charge.
As for the interior, you get black half leather/ half suede seats, bespoke carpet mats, BOSE® Surround-Sound System, reversing camera, Smart keyless entry, cruise control and dual-zone climate control as well as MZD-Connect system, 7” colour touchscreen display and Multimedia Commander plus Navigation.
So in essence, Mazda3 Sport Black is a very well-appointed variant of family hatchback that costs a little bit more than usual but delivers much greater value. The car comes with the 2.0 liter 120ps SKYACTIV-G petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. It’s a weak engine relative to its size, but returns an excellent 55.4 mpg on the combined cycle.
